Taimur
Muthaiga's Junior Amateur Wins First Leg of Safari Tour at Sigona Golf Club

Over the past four days, the 1st leg of the Safari Tour events was held at the Par 72 Sigona Golf Club.

Our leading junior amateur, Taimur Malik won the event with scores of 73, 73, 73, and 65 for a total aggregate score of 284 gross (4 under par).

Taimur was the only amateur to make the second round cut in the pro event and trailed by 11 shots on the final day from the leader. He eventually secured his maiden victory in the event by shooting the amateur course record of 65 (7 under par) and overcoming a two hole playoff with the leading pros after making par on both holes.

On behalf of the membership and Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Taimur for this remarkable win under such tremendous pressure from our local professionals and wish him all the very best in his upcoming tournaments.

Well played Taimur and thank you for flying the Muthaiga Golf Club flag high!

We are all extremely proud of you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Khushil Nathwani
